NMMI Forensic Science Cadets Master CSI Sketching
Forensic Science II cadets at NMMI participated in an immersive Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) lab, applying real-world investigative techniques to document a simulated crime scene. The hands-on activity focused on crime scene sketching and measurement, reinforcing the importance of accuracy in forensic documentation. Cadets meticulously recorded key details, labeled evidence, and created precise sketches that serve as critical supplements to investigative field notes.
This engaging lab was further enriched by the presence of visiting professor Dr. Andreia Marini from the Federal Institute of Paraná (IFPR), who observed and experienced NMMI’s dynamic, hands-on teaching strategies. The activity highlighted NMMI’s commitment to experiential learning, ensuring cadets gain practical skills essential for forensic careers. By integrating real-world scenarios into the curriculum, NMMI continues to prepare future leaders with the analytical and observational expertise needed in forensic science.
