NMMI Aerial Drone Team Participates In Challenge
On Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, the NMMI Aerial Drone teams participated in the Spooky Skies: The Haunted Drone Challenge. After nine intensive qualification matches per team, NMMI Team 63988X (Cadet Weston Zhang) ranked 1st, with Team 63988Y finishing 5th and Team 63988Z in 6th place. During the elimination rounds, Team 63988X(Cadets Khai Nguyen and Rai) flew exceptionally well and secured the Teamwork Mission Champion title. Team 63988Y (Cadet Frye) claimed the Skills Missions Champion and Team 63988X also received the Judges Award.
All three teams qualify the New Mexico State Championship.
