Global Enrollment / Service Academy Prep Program

Service Academy Prep Program

The Academy Prep Program has consistently continued to produce exceptional results. During the most recent admissions cycle, 46 of 48 sponsored preparatory cadets received appointments to their respective Service Academies, while 14 of 16 self-preparatory cadets also earned appointments. Sponsored scholarship programs have maintained a 100 percent appointment success rate over the past five years.

The Service Academies have recently transitioned to a fully merit-based appointment process, significantly changing how appointments and preparatory opportunities have been awarded. We are proud to continue attracting highly qualified candidates who are committed to serving our nation.

Our curriculum is built around the academic requirements established by the Service Academies. Cadets complete rigorous coursework in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and, for Air Force Academy and West Point preparatory students, American Military History. This ensures students are academically prepared for the expectations they will encounter upon appointment.

Physical readiness is another cornerstone of the program. Cadets participate in structured physical training five days a week, with strength and conditioning and cardiovascular training as well as swimming instruction. Current Academy Prep cadets maintain an average one-mile run time of approximately 6.4 minutes, an average SAT score of 1320, and an average cumulative GPA of 3.8. Average Candidate Fitness Assessment performance includes approximately 70 push-ups, 70 crunches, 6 pull-ups, and a basketball throw in the mid-60 to low-70-foot range.

Leadership development is integrated throughout the entire experience. Every Academy Prep cadet completes leadership instruction through our Military Science Department while serving as a member of the NMMI Corps of Cadets. One unique aspect of our program is that qualified Academy Prep cadets have the opportunity to earn leadership positions within the Corps of Cadets as early as 40 days after the Cresting Ceremony, providing meaningful leadership experience well before reporting to a Service Academy.

The program also begins before the academic year officially starts through our FAST Track Program, which introduces incoming cadets to the academic, military, and physical expectations of Academy Prep. In addition, we provide an intensive three-day SAT Math Preparation Course to strengthen quantitative skills before classes begin.

This helps distinguish the Academy Prep Program by emphasizing our proven appointment results, academy-aligned curriculum, structured physical development, early leadership opportunities, and comprehensive preparation for success at the Service Academies
