NMMI HOSA Chapter Achieves Outstanding Success at the 2025 Regional Competition
The Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA)–NMMI Chapter delivered an exceptional performance at the Regional HOSA Competition held at Clovis Community College. Both the high school and middle school divisions represented the Institute with distinction, earning numerous first-place finishes and multiple top-three placements across a wide range of health science events.
Leading this remarkable outcome was Cadet That Bach Ton, who achieved an outstanding sweep, earning 1st place in all three of his events: Family Medicine Physician, Biomedical Equipment, and Clinical Laboratory Science.
Cadet Amarina Rai also excelled, securing 1st place in Dental Science, World Health Disparities, and the Biomedical Debate team event.
In the middle school division, NMMI’s IPA contingent delivered equally impressive results, with Leon Villaraza earning 1st place in all his events: Math for Health Careers, Life-Threatening Situations, and Health Career Preparation.

With numerous top-ranked finishes, all cadets who placed in their respective events have qualified for the State HOSA Competition.
