Administrative Specialist

Ms. Alicia Lopez is the first IPA employee. Ms. Lopez was most recently employed as the NMMI Administrative Assistant for the Admissions Department. She brings with her significant experience working with young adolescents, the general public, as well as many years with NMMI. Those years have provided experience using NMMI systems which will lend well to aiding the staff at the IPA. Ms. Lopez is a native of Roswell, graduating from Roswell High School in 2010. She is currently pursuing a degree in business administration from ENMU.

Ms. Lopez will be responsible for organizing, coordinating, scheduling, and performing a wide variety of clerical activities related to the administration of the diverse programs and operations at the IPA. She will be responsible for prioritizing and scheduling duties and assignments to assure efficiency and effectiveness to meet established timelines. Additionally, Ms. Lopez will provide administrative assistance to the Head of School and other staff to create, schedule and arrange appointments, meetings, and conferences.

“Emily Taylor is the Director of Students for the IPA. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University. Emily has taught both in public and private school settings in the Roswell area for the past ten years. In her spare time, Emily enjoys playing and watching sports of all kinds with her husband, Bryce, and their three daughters.”

“Phil Bracken-Tripp is the band director at IPA. He holds a Master of Music from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Music from Florida Southern College. Mr. Bracken-Tripp has previously taught at Thurgood Marshall Fundamental Middle School in St. Petersburg, Florida where he ran a program of nearly 200 students, and Ruth K. Broad K-8 Center in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida where he taught elementary music as well as middle school band and class piano. He enjoys baking and has two cats named Sam and Alice.”

IPA Faculty - Latin

“Linn Atkinson-Loveless teaches Latin at the IPA. She began studying Latin as a sixth-grader at the Brearley School in New York. Initially, not an enthusiastic student, Ms. Atkinson-Loveless would later discover a passion that led her to a Master’s degree in Classics from New York University and a teaching position at the prestigious Latin/Greek Institute of the City University Graduate Center in New York. In her spare time, she translates Virgil and expands her knowledge of the fascinating and ambitious Julius Caesar. Ms. Atkinson-Loveless has taught Latin and other subjects to students of all ages, first grade to college, and she practiced law for more than a decade. Ms. Atkinson is the mother of three grown children, and now lives in Roswell with her two dogs and a cat. She is a diehard Yankees fan, and she is not yet convinced that all the recent changes to speed up baseball games are a good thing.”

IPA Faculty - Physical Education

“Carlos E. Marrujo II is a Physical Education teacher and coach at NMMI-IPA with six years of experience teaching grades 6 through 12, as well as four years of experience instructing college seminar classes. He holds a Master’s degree in Health and Human Performance and a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. An alumnus of New Mexico Military Institute, Junior College, Carlos played baseball for the Broncos 2005-07. His extensive background in physical education equips him with the skills and knowledge to create an effective program that promotes healthy lifestyles. Outside of his professional work, Carlos is passionate about his family and the great outdoors. He resides in Roswell with his wife Amber, their daughter Avangeline, and their dog Nala.”
