Progress Reports
We will process midterm progress reports at 0800 on 19 Mar. Expect to receive a progress report delivered to your NMMI email address on this date. High school students, your parent/guardian will also receive a report based on their chosen delivery method. All classes you are enrolled in at that point will affect your 9-week GPA.
Grade Penalty Date
The last day to drop a class with a “W” final grade is 22 Mar. After this date, any drop from a class will result in a grade of “WP” (withdrawn while passing – does not affect term or cumulative GPA) or a “WF” (withdrawn while failing – affects term & cumulative GPA as if final grade is an “F”). Please initiate any drop requests through your academic advisor.
Final Exam Schedule
The final exam schedule is available. Please review.
May Graduation
If you plan to graduate in May (or by transfer of credits), you should have applied for graduation by now. If you have not applied, please stop by our office ASAP. Visit our commencement page to learn about the process, schedule of events and other relevant info. Our commencement ceremonies will be held on 18 May.
Reenrollment
Reenrollment for next academic year is open. The priority reenrollment deadline is 19 Mar. After this date, the reenrollment fee will change from a discounted $75 fee to the standard $150 fee. Other benefits of reenrolling early include having the ability to register for Fall 2019 classes soon and consideration for Corps leadership positions and Cadre selection. Stop by our office (Lusk Hall – 2nd floor) or the cashier’s office to pick up a reenrollment form.
Fall 2019 Registration
We expect to open registration early next month. Cadets reenrolled and not on a registration hold will be eligible to register. A current list of available courses is here. As we receive new courses from departments, we are building them into the schedule. We will announce firm opening dates for registration soon.
High School Early Warning/Grade Report Options
High school parents have the opportunity to opt-in to receiving electronic information such as weekly student summary notifications and mid-term/final grade reports for your student. Notifications are delivered on Mondays around midday.
If you would like to take advantage of this option, please complete the E-Permission Form (PDF reader required) and return to the Registrar’s Office. If you already opted in, there is no need to complete this form. If you opted in and are not receiving weekly student summaries, please contact the Registrar’s Office (registrar@nmmi.edu).
TIPS FOR COMPLETING THE FAFSA:
- Have the 2017 tax returns and W-2 forms for you and your parents available or utilize the IRS data retrieval tool provided by the FAFSA on-line form. The Prior-Prior Year initiative by the Department of Education allows you to use tax returns filed for last year to submit your FAFSA.
- Be sure to indicate the name and code of the school you plan on attending. NMMI’s school code is 002656.
- If you are in the SMP Program be sure to include those taxable earnings. (Do not include ROTC monthly stipend or ROTC Scholarship pay).
- All males, 18 – 25 years old, must be registered with Selective Service.
- Keep copies of all documents, including tax returns. Your selected school may require them at a later date or require a tax transcript from the IRS.
- Additional forms may be required by your selected institution.
If you have questions, or need information feel free to contact the Financial Aid Office in Lusk Hall; email finaid@nmmi.edu or call (575) 624-8066.
