Bronco Football Posts Five on All-WSFL Teams

Four members of the Bronco football team have been named to the Western States Football League’s All-WSFL First Team:
RB Anthony Williams – A sophomore from Palmyra, VA, Williams led the Institute in several offensive categories including carries (209), net rushing yards (1205), and touchdowns (11).
OL Nicholas De La Cruz – Nick, a sophomore from El Paso, TX, was the heart of the Bronco’s offensive line, helping NMMI amass 3,803 yards of total offense.

DL Kurt Taufaasau – Playing in the defensive tackle spot, this American Samoan sophomore led the d-line in tackles with 40, including seven for losses. He also forced three opponent fumbles this year, due to his big hits.
DB Tony Udley – Udley was awesome this year, easily leading the Broncos in tackles with 75, 53 of which were unassisted. He also had a 50-yard fumble return for a touchdown, five tackles for losses, and four pass break-ups.
A fifth Bronco, WR Tyrone Hendrix, was named to the WSFL’s Second Team. Sophomore Hendrix is from Tarpon Springs, FL. He was quarterback Watson Togiailua’s favorite target this year and had 37 receptions for 673 yards, along with five touchdowns. He also picked up another touchdown and 579 more yards while returning 24 kickoffs for the Institute.
