New Mexico Military Institute

Summer Math Program

July 6 - August 2, 2017

The Summer Math Program at New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) prepares students with

low scores on the math placement exam to be successful in NMMI’s rigorous academic

programs. The Summer Math program utilizes ALEKS, an online program used in a classroom

setting and offers Cadet-Candidates a head start via a month of foundational math instruction.

Students who wish to attend New Mexico Military Institute, yet did not fully meet the math

admissions requirements will find attending the Summer Math Program helpful in acclimating to our rigorous math curriculum. Faculty and staff will reevaluate each Cadet-Candidate’s potential and make admissions recommendations based on overall performance in the Summer Math Program.

The New Mexico Military Institute Summer Math Program mission is to successfully prepare Cadet-Candidates for the rigors of cadet life via:

  • Early acclimation to NMMI’s Academic Standards
  • Early assimilation into the NMMI Corps of Cadets
  • Early achievement of NMMI Corps of Cadet Physical Fitness Standards

"The 2017 Summer Program begins at 8:00 AM on Thursday, July 6th with an Opening Ceremony."
