CPT Kalith Smith came to NMMI in 2006 after eight years in competitive college admission. After growing up in Portales, New Mexico he attended Texas Tech University for a B. S. in Agricultural Economics and an M. A. in Higher Education.
CPT Smith has worked in competitive college admission for seven years, serving as an admission officer for Texas Tech University, Assistant Director of Admission at Avila University in Kansas City and as Acting Director of Admission at Saint Louis University. He also served a short time in Peace Corps in the island nation of Vanuatu. He returned to New Mexico with his wife for the opportunity to work at NMMI. |
