MAJ Maria Carmen Gonzalez

Credentials

MAJ Maria Carmen Gonzalez earned her BSW degree at New Mexico Highlands University with a major in Social Work and her MSW degree, with emphasis in Children Youth and Families and mental health. She is currently pursuing a teaching degree in secondary education. A native New Mexican, she has lived all over the contiguous United States and Alaska. 

Before coming to NMMI in 2005, MAJ Gonzalez worked as college advisor and admissions recruiter at New Mexico Highlands University.

As the testing coordinator, College Day coordinator and a member of the Black History month Committee she is very involved with students at NMMI. MAJ Gonzalez is always ready to help High School and Junior College cadets as College Advisor and Career Services Coordinator.
