Pre-requisite Information:
Eligibility to participate in the Army ROTC Early Commissioning Program and sign the ROTC contract (to receive financial benefits):
- Age: 17-21 years old (age waivers can be submitted for prior service Cadets on a case by case basis).
- Must have at least a cumulative 2.0 HS GPA (2.5 GPA or GED for scholarship).
- Must have at least 17 ACT or 850 SAT - reading and math only (19 ACT/920 SAT for scholarship).
- (Note: NMMI requires an 18 ACT or 870 SAT for admission acceptance.)
- Must be accepted to New Mexico Military Institute by admissions.
- Must be a US citizen, can not have a criminal history or history of drug use.
- Must meet Army height/weight requirements.
- Must pass the Army Physical Examination (DoDMERB).
- Pass the Army Physical Fitness Test with at least 60 points in each of the three events:
- Males: 53 sit-ups in 2 minutes, 42 push-ups in 2 minutes, run 2 miles in 15:54 or less.
- Females: 53 sit-ups in 2 minutes, 19 push-ups in 2 minutes, run 2 miles in 18:54 or less.
- Must complete one of the following: 3 years of JROTC, or Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (BCT/AIT), or the Leaders Training Course (LTC) at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
