NMMI's
desired academic outcomes
are the result of a rigorous
high school college preparatory and university parallel junior college curriculum
that produce well-educated, capable young men and women. Our curriculum offers exceptional opportunities
and
presents special challenges and rewards for NMMI's cadets.
Our academic
highlights include:
-
For graduating seniors, the
average ACT
score is above both the national and state averages.
-
The tenured members of
NMMI's
faculty,
all of whom hold Ph.D.s and Master's degrees, are renowned for teaching excellence, mentorship of students,
scholarly engagement, and commitment to each cadet's success.
-
NMMI's small class
sizes, a 17:1 student to teacher ration, enable our faculty to interact
closely with cadets, both inside and outside of the classroom.
-
Approximately 60 percent of
the Corps of Cadets receive
scholarship
or financial
aid each year.
-
Each cadet is assigned an academic
advisor who monitors their progress, assists them in getting the
most out of the educational experience, and helping them identify
and gain acceptance to the
college
or university of their choice
