The
Board of Regents is the supervisory board of the New Mexico Military
Institute. The Board defines the mission of the Institute, as a public
institution of higher and secondary education in New Mexico, and
oversees the development, revision and implementation of a strategic
plan for the accomplishment of the mission.
The
Board consists of five members, appointed by the Governor. All members
must be residents of New Mexico. A regular term of membership is four
years. Members serve and are eligible for re-appointment as provided by
statute. Each year the Board appoints a President to oversee the
activities of the Board. The Superintendent acts as a non-voting,
advisory representative to the Board.
