NMMI Substance Abuse Policies
NMMI maintains a strict policy regarding the possession, use, or sale of alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs. The campus is designated as a drug-free environment, and cadets may voluntarily participate in the campus IDFY (Institute Drug Free Youth) Program. The program is pro-active. Failure to comply with the alcohol or drug policy, i.e., no alcohol or drugs on campus, will result in severe disciplinary action and may result in suspension or dismissal from NMMI, and/or criminal prosecution. NMMI also maintains a strict policy regarding the possession, use, or sale of tobacco or tobacco products. The campus is also designated as a tobacco-free environment.
