Lady Colts Fall to Capitan in Opener

Roswell, NM – The 2007-08 basketball season got off to an early start as the Lady Colts lost their first game of the season to Capitan 42-22. The Lady Colts played a solid first half as they found themselves down only 22-14. Capitan put the press on in the second half which forced some NMMI turnovers. Capitan outscored NMMI 20-8 in the second half to take the victory. Point guard Jacque Lamendola led NMM with 9 points. Janell Lemm pulled in a team high 8 rebounds.
