The NMMI Department of Athletics and Physical Fitness is headquarters for 25 different organized sports teams, and the Human Performance and Sports Medicine/Athletic Training programs. Its facilities include the Cahoon Armory Building and the Godfrey Athletic Center, as well as several athletic fields.

 

Junior College Broncos:

Our 9 junior college teams are known as the Broncos, and compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association at the Division I level. We are in the NJCAA's Region V, and our teams play in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference, except for football, which plays in the Western States Football League.

High School Colts:

Our 16 high school teams are known as the Colts, and compete in the New Mexico Activities Association at the 2A level.
