Colt Tennis Improves to 13-0 on the Season

Lovington, NM -- The Colt tennis team picked up another district win with a 6-3 victory over the Lovington Wildcats, improving their record to 13-0 on the season. The Lady Colts were upended in their match by a score of 6-1.
Boys number one singles player Carlos Murillo downed Lovington's Isaac Brown 6-1, 6-1. Singles number two player Theo Rex-Hori defeated Tim Brown 6-2, 6-3. Jeff Guiltus won his match 6-3, 6-0. Number four singles player Octavio Alvidrez defeated Shane Elliiot 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.
In doubles action, Murillo and Gulitus defeated their opponent 7-5, 6-0 while Rex-Horoi and Alvidrez won their match 6-3, 6-4.
The Lady Colts lone victory came from junior Jayna Johns. Playing in the number four position, Johns defeated Rebecca Frazier 6-1, 6-3.
