Goddard battles, downs NMMI on the courts
The match was far closer than the 6-3 overall indicated on the boys' side of Goddard's boy-girl sweep of New Mexico Military Institute at the NMMI tennis courts on Tuesday.

Colts boys, Rams girls earn wins
The New Mexico Military Institute and Portales netters played a tale-of-two-genders match on Tuesday at NMMI. On the boys' side, the Colts dropped just one set in the seven sets that they won in a 7-2 defeat of the Rams. On the girls' side, Portales swept sets, although they were highly contested, in a 9-0 victory.

Roswell, Goddard and New Mexico Military Institute all put their courts to use as five schools, Ruidoso and Hobbs as well as the three host schools, spent the weekend going at each other in the Coyotes Classic.

Colts tennis nearly perfect in sweep
The New Mexico Military Institute Colts wasted little time in establishing themselves on the tennis courts against the Clovis Christian Eagles on Tuesday as both the boys' and girls' teams won in 9-0 sweeps. On the boys' side of the draw, the Colts dropped just one game in 18 sets and that came in a doubles match.
