The match was far closer than the 6-3 overall indicated on the boys' side of Goddard's boy-girl sweep of New Mexico Military Institute at the NMMI tennis courts on Tuesday.

Colts boys, Rams girls earn wins
The New Mexico Military Institute and Portales netters played a tale-of-two-genders match on Tuesday at NMMI. On the boys' side, the Colts dropped just one set in the seven sets that they won in a 7-2 defeat of the Rams. On the girls' side, Portales swept sets, although they were highly contested, in a 9-0 victory.

Colts tennis nearly perfect in sweep

The New Mexico Military Institute Colts wasted little time in establishing themselves on the tennis courts against the Clovis Christian Eagles on Tuesday as both the boys' and girls' teams won in 9-0 sweeps.
