Colt Soccer Drops Double Overtime Thriller

Socorro, NM – The ball just hasn’t bounced the right way for the Colt soccer team this season, but that hasn’t stopped them from putting up a fight. The Colts lost to Socorro 3-2 in double overtime.
NMMI’s right defender, James Hanks scored a remarkable goal when he booted the ball from midfield. With just enough power, the ball sailed over the goal keeper’s head for a Colt score.
Pablo Valles also put the ball past the goal keeper for his third goal of the season.
Senior goal keeper, Brandon Bourn managed to stop one of two penalty kicks.
The Colts fall to 2-11 on the season and 0-3 in District 4-3A.
