Colts Downed by Dexter

Dexter, NM – The New Mexico Military Institute Colts dropped their season opener to the Dexter Demons 41-0. The Colts struggled to stop Dexter’s wishbone offense as they totaled 213 yards on the ground and another 61 yards through the air.
Offensively the Colts showed some potential with the speed of newcomers DeMarcus Doucette and Josh Baird but they were unable to shake free from the Dexter defense. Doucette led the Colts with 19 yards rushing on 10 carries. He also led the team with 9 tackles.
The Colts will take on the Socorro Warriors at home this Friday. Kickoff is set for 7 pm at Colt Field.
