NMMI Girls Win Roswell X-Country Meet

Roswell, NM – For the first time this season, the Lady Colt cross country team qualified for the team competition. They chose a great time to do it as they placed six competitors and won the Roswell City Meet. The Colts finished in third place, their best finish of the season.
A trio of Lady Colts finished with a time of 23:31 leading them to the race title. Courtney Holm, Meagan Chopito and Cheri Haarmeyer all crossed the finish line at the same time. Holm was awarded the third place medal, Chopito fouth place and Haarmeyer was awarded fifth place.
For the boys, Evan Bontrager ran the course in 19:36 and finished in sixth place. Wesley Ganaway followed with a time of 19:58, good enough for eighth place.
