Thomas Leads Colts to Season Opening Victory

Roswell, NM – Sophomore point guard Wade Thomas had a break-out game in his first varsity start as he led the Colts to a 48-41 season opening victory over Capitan High School. 

 

Thomas scored 17 points while committing no turnovers in the first half as the Colts jumped out to a 29-20 lead. He finished with a game high 21 points.  Senior post man, Ed Martinez pitched in with 12 points and a team high 11 rebounds.

 

The Colts benefited from a strong performance at the free throw line as they made 10 of 14 free throw attempts.
