Bulldogs
Too Much for the Colts
12/11/07
Roswell,
NM – Three days following their football state championship,
members of the Artesia Bulldog basketball team looked like
they were in midseason form as they defeated the Colts
75-37. Artesia’s run-and-gun offense was too much for the
Colts and they had a difficult time breaking the Bulldog
pressure defense. NMMI was held to a season low 37 points.
Wade Thomas continued to lead the Colts on offense as he
scored 12 points while going 6-for-6 from the free throw
line. Eduardo Martinez hauled in 7 rebounds. Turnovers
continue to haunt the Colts as they gave the ball away 34
times. The Colts look to right the ship on Thursday when
they head down the road to take on another 4A opponent.
This time they will take on the Roswell Coyotes.
