Colt Baseball Takes Driver's Seat in
District Race
4/24/07
Roswell, NM --
The Colts took care of business by sweeping Ruidoso in a district
doubleheader 8-1 and 7-2. With the wins, the Colts record stands
at 8-4 in district play with two series remaining.
Senior James
Boese was dominant again in the first game, shutting down the potent
Ruidoso offense. Pitching a complete game, Boese allowed only one
run.
Je'Mari James
got the Colts offense started early, providing all of the offense they
would need when he slammed a two-run scoring triple through the wind and
over the right fielder's head.
Matthew Smokov
provided the Colts with another solid pitching performance in game two.
He was aided by a strong defense performance.
