The Colts were unable to take advantage of the home field, finishing in 8th place in their own tournament. After some great poise and pop at the bat in the Hal Bogle tourny, the Colt sticks seemed to be on spring break with the rest of the staff and students here at the Institute.
The Colts finished 3rd in the Hal Bogle Tournament in Dexter, defeating the host team Demons 13-2 after a tough loss to a good hitting team in Santa Rosa in the second round of the tournament. Catcher/Pitcher Josh Schmille and Third Baseman/Outfielder Caleb Sarten made the All-Tournament team.
Colt Varsity Baseball began their season in Artesia with the opening round game of the Bulldog Classic against the 4A Bernalillo Spartans. Catcher/Pitcher Josh Schmille made the All-Tournament team. The bracket is pictured below.
