Fisher Shines at Andrews Amateur |

NMMI Sports Press 10-Oct-08 Daniel Fisher of the Bronco Golf team had a great tournament last week at the Andrews College Amateur. Fisher shot even par and finished in 10th place overall: 66-76-142. The first day’s 66 was the 2nd best round of the tournament. The rest of the Bronco team didn't fare quite so well, however, and the Broncos placed 6th out of the 6 teams entered in the tournament with a 289 team score. It's not as bad as it sounds at first, perhaps, as they were only 2 shots in back of the WJCAC teams tied for fourth (Western Texas College and New Mexico Junior College), and only 8 in back of another WJCAC team, Midland College. Next up for the Bronco Golf team, a trip to Odessa, TX, on Oct.15-17th for the Odessa Invitational. |
