Broncos Swept by Clarendon

Roswell, NM -- Bronco baseball was swept in a
four-game series with the Clarendon College Bulldogs. On
Friday, Clarendon took both games 8-3 and 11-3. On
Saturday, the Broncos made things a little closer but Clarendon
still came out on top 10-4 and 11-8.
Freshman reliever Robert Nordorf had a solid
showing over the weekend. Appearing in three games,
Nordorf tallied seven and a third innings pitched while allowing
only three runs.
Karl Johnston, a freshman centerfielder, led the
Broncos offensively. In eleven at bats, Johnston totaled
five hits (.455 average), including one triple and three base on
balls while scoring three runs. Freshman first basemen
Brian Bustos was the leading run producer for the Broncos.
In four games, he totaled five runs batted in.
The Broncos record now stands at 12-37 overall
and 3-25 in the WJCAC. The season will conclude this
weekend with a home-and-home series with El Paso Community
College. The teams will square-off Friday in El Paso and
Saturday in Roswell.
