NMMI's junior college athletic programs compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Bronco Football competes in the Western States Football League (WSFL). The WSFL is comprised of 10 teams from Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico. Bronco Baseball, Basketball, Golf, Tennis, and Volleyball are members of the Western Junior College Athletic Conference and compete against teams from West Texas and New Mexico.
NMMI's high school athletic programs are members of the New Mexico Activities Association and compete in Class 3A, District 4. NMMI's high school teams have won state championships in Baseball (2), Golf (4), Football (2), Swimming (4), Tennis (6), and Track (4).
**High School Student/Athlete Eligibility** -- 2.0 GPA in previous semester -- Must younger than 19 years old prior to September 1 of the current year -- Foreign student/athletes in their first semester at NMMI are ineligible for varsity competition for one semester
