McBride Museum- Founded in 1891, NMMI has a
long, rich history. The McBride
museum
depicts artifacts and historical information relating to
the heritage of NMMI. Located on the second
level of the Enrollment and
Development Center, the McBride Museum is free and open
to the public from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., on weekdays.

Golf Course- NMMI has its own 18 hole
golf course. The general public is welcome. Call (575)
624-8240 to set-up a tee time and club rentals.
On-Campus Art and Special Collections- As you tour the post,
take some time to notice the variety of art work and special collections. We have sculptures, stained glass
windows, paintings and literary collections.
The Toles Learning Center houses
works from Peter Hurd and collections from Paul Horgan.
Dining Facilities- While visiting,
parents and family can enjoy a meal in Bates Dining Hall for a small charge.
Dining Hall tickets must be purchased with the cashier in the Business
Office located in Lusk Hall. If you would prefer a quick snack stop by the
PX to savor a hot cup of Starbucks coffee or other tasty treats.
Godfrey Sports Complex-
The Roswell community and visiting families can enjoy NMMI's sports complex. The complex includes
a weight room, heated swimming pool, racquetball courts and basketball
courts. A small entrance fee is charged at the Godfrey Center's front
desk. The normal operating hours are:
- 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday
- 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Monday through Friday
- 1 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
Athletic Events-
From baseball to volleyball to football to swimming and much more, the men and women of NMMI compete in a variety
of athletic events. If you want to catch the Colts or Broncos in

Alumni Center
- If you are an alumnus of NMMI or even if you are not, be sure to stop by
the Alumni Center located in the Enrollment and Development Center.

Daniel's Leadership Center
- Completed in 2006, the state-of-the-art
Daniel's
Leadership Center houses programs of study in leadership that benefit the
Corps of Cadets as well as the Roswell community, the state of New Mexico
and the nation as a whole.
The Yates Challenge Leadership Reaction Course
and Ropes Course
- The Yates Challenge Course develops and evaluates leadership
while building teamwork. Participants demonstrate initiative, teamwork and
common sense while negotiating difficult physical obstacles. The course
requires they employ skills in problem solving, teambuilding, and time,
material, and personnel management. |
