LTC
Leanne Bratland was born in 1940 in Colón, Panamá. She attended
schools in Alaska, Wyoming and North Dakota. Her BA in Spanish and
English was from Jamestown College, Jamestown, ND. Her MA was from
Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, NM, and she has 45 credits
beyond the Master's from ENMU and from Ashland University. She has
studied twice in Mérida for one month each time, and in Cuernavaca
for two weeks. She has lived in Japan, Korea, and Washington DC.
LTC Bratland first came to NMMI in the late 1970's as a part-time
instructor, worked for Job Corps for ten years, and was hired
fulltime at NMMI in 1994. Her main course load is high school Spanish
I and Spanish II.
