LTC
Carolyn Satterlee is an Associate Professor of English and Director
of Reading in the Department of English. LTC Satterlee's primary
teaching areas are high school English, high school
reading, and college
reading. She is the sponsor of the NMMI Christmas float for the
Roswell Electric Light Parade and co-sponsor of the campus
Shakespeare Festival. LTC Satterlee has won "Teacher of The
Year" awards at the elementary and college level during her
thirty years of teaching. She has taught every grade level from
pre-school and headstart through junior college. Her interest for
improving education lies in the MTP (multiple teacher presentation)
approach for students. For the past ten years she has exclusively focused
on the development of student skills and reading curriculum. Carolyn
holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education, Recreation, and
Sociology from San Diego State University, and a Master of Arts
Degree in Education from the United States International University,
San Diego.
