New for 2010-2011
On march 30, 2010, President Obama signed H.R 4872, the "Health Care and Education Affordability Reconcilliation Act of 2010." The Act requires that all institutions throughout the nation participate in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program beginning July 1, 2010.
This Change in the Law will require all student loan borrowers, continuing students,and new students to sign a new Master Promissory Note and complete Entrance Counseling directly with the U.S. Department of Education in order to receive student loans. Direct Loans include subsidized and unsubsidized Direct Stafford Loans and the Direct Parent PLUS Loans.
